How do i block someone in messanger on Facebook

When you block someone, they'll no longer be able to contact you (ex: send you messages, call you) on Messenger or on Facebook chat. 

 

You can also ignore a conversation, turn off notifications for a conversation, or delete a conversation.

To block messages from someone:

iPhone and iPad:

1. Open a conversation with the person you want to block
2. Tap their name at the top of the conversation
3. Scroll down and tap Block
4. Tap next to Block Messages

Android:

1. Open the conversation with the person you want to block
2. Tap , scroll down, and then tap Block
3. Tap Block all messages

Note: Blocking messages from someone is different from blocking them on Facebook. If you block messages from someone, but you don't block them on Facebook, you'll still be able to see their Facebook profile. Keep in mind that you can also delete a message or conversation directly from Messenger.
