Language settings help change the languages you see on Facebook.
To access your language settings:
- Click on the downward pointing arrow at the top right and select Settings.
- Click Language to see the following options:
- What language do you want to use Facebook in: This changes the language of Facebook's interface.
- What language do you want stories to be translated into: This changes the language comments and posts written in another language are translated to. Learn how to translate a post or comment.
- Which languages do you understand: This controls the languages you don't want to see translation options for. Any comment or post written in these languages won't contain translation options. Learn how to turn off translation options.
- Which languages do you not want automatically translated: This controls the languages you don't want automatically translated. Any post written in these languages won't automatically translate. Learn how to stop automatic translations.
- Multilingual Posts: This lets you post in more than one language at a time without automatic translations.
